✈️ Southern3D – 2026 RC Event Schedule
Alright folks… here’s how 2026 is shaping up for us in the Southeast and beyond. If you’re into 3D, huckin’, or just good flying with good people—this is your roadmap.
🔥 MAY
Joe Nall (May 8–15) – Woodruff, SC
📍 Triple Tree Aerodrome
This is the one. The biggest RC event in the country. Everything from giant scale to hardcore 3D, plus night flying that’ll blow your mind. If you only make one trip this year—this is it.
🇺🇸 JUNE
Red, White & Blue Fun Fly (June 24–27) – Summerville, GA
📍 Big Sky R/C
Laid-back summer flying with a patriotic vibe. Good people, relaxed atmosphere—perfect mid-season warmup. Check for date changes. The club is changing fields.
Derby City 3D Throwdown (June 24–27) – Elizabeth, IN
📍 Rosewood RC Flyers
If you want hardcore 3D, this is where it’s at. Expect top pilots, low hovers, and planes getting pushed to the edge.
☀️ JULY
Youth Masters (July 24–26) – Woodruff, SC
📍 Triple Tree Aerodrome
Next generation of pilots stepping up. Always fun to watch—and support—the future of the hobby.
🌴 AUGUST
Huckin’ the Bowl (Aug 6–8) – Gulfport, MS
📍 Gulfport R/C
Pure 3D chaos—in the best way. Expect insane flying, night sessions, and a crowd that loves to huck.
Great Lakes Fly-In (Aug 11–16) – Temperance, MI
📍 Weak Signals
Huge turnout, tons of variety. Less “all 3D,” more everything—but still worth the trip if you like big airplanes and big crowds.
Chattanooga 3D Jam (Aug 20–22) – Chattanooga, TN
📍 CRCC
Right in our backyard. This is a must-hit—tight group, great flying, and always a good time.
Labor Day Fly-In (Aug 28 – Sept 2) – Etowah, TN
📍 McMinn County R/C
Classic end-of-summer fly-in. Camping, flying, and hanging out. Easygoing and fun.
🍂 SEPTEMBER
BCRCMAC Fun Fly (Sept 12) – Georgetown, TN
📍 BCRCMAC
Local flavor. My home club. Great chance to support the home club and get some stick time in.
Flight Fest (Sept 25–26) – Dawsonville, GA
📍 NGMA
Always a fun crowd and solid turnout. Mix of everything with a good Georgia vibe.
🎃 OCTOBER (STACKED!)
Fly Boyz (Oct 2–3) – Elberta, AL
Small, fun, and usually some great 3D flying tucked in there.
Nall in the Fall (Oct 2–9) – Woodruff, SC
📍 Triple Tree Aerodrome
Same legendary field—way more relaxed vibe than May. A lot of folks actually prefer this one.
Tucson Aerobatic Shootout (Oct 14–18) – Tucson, AZ
If you’re willing to travel—this is elite-level 3D in a wild desert setting.
Memphis Propbusters 3D Event (Oct 16–18) – Arlington, TN
Growing event. Good people and strong 3D presence.
Huck-O-Ween 2.0? (Oct 21–25) – Iron City, GA
📍 3D Farm
If it happens… this is always one of the most fun events of the year. Night flying + Halloween vibe = chaos.
Cajun Huckfest (Oct 30–31) – Breaux Bridge, LA
Great way to close out the season. Southern hospitality + hardcore flying.
❄️ NOVEMBER / DECEMBER
(Still open… somebody’s gotta fill these!)
🧭 Final Thoughts
This is a solid run from May through October—barely any downtime. You could realistically stay on the road all summer if you wanted to.
